About BOW

BOW is the student organisation for students of public administration at the Nijmegen school of Management, Radboud University Nijmegen. BOW stands in Dutch for ‘Bestuurs- en organisatiewetenschappen’, the formerly used name in Dutch for public administration. This independent organisation was founded in 1992 and is still growing because of its highly-involved members. The activities which are organised are both study-related and informal.

The student organisation BOW has five goals;
1. Taking care of (future) students of public administration
2. Giving information
3. Offering study-related and informal activities
4. Offering the possibility to gain skills in organising
5. Improving the integration of our students public administration


Committees
An important instrument used to achieve our goals are the committees, in Dutch called ‘commissies’. There are several committees. You can find them in the navigation-menu under vereniging -> commissies.
The Reiscommissie organises our annual field trip. Each year 35 members visit a city and while they are there, there engage in activities, such as cultural tours and visiting the local university.
The BOWBOW-commissie is in charge of publishing the quarterly magazine.
The Inhoudscommissie organises debates and field trips throughout the year.
The Commissie Informele Activiteiten organises the informal activities, such as dinners, squash competitions, etc.
The Feestcommissie is involved in organising parties! Two parties are the A-feest and M-feest.
